Tampa Bay Parade of Homes winners announced

Winners of the Tampa Bay Builders Association’s 2009 Parade of Homes™ – the first to include virtual model-home entries – were announced last night during an awards ceremony in Clearwater.

This year’s spring parade March 21-April 5 included more than 60 entries by home builders in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando counties, says association president Dan Molloy, CEO of Oak Creek Land Co.

Another first in this year’s parade was the unveiling of two Showcase Homes, both in Fishhawk Ranch, the award-winning master-planned community developed by Newland Communities in Lithia.  They are Sabal Homes’ 5,290-square-foot Gulfview 2 and The Gulfstream design by Cardel Homes.

A panel of Tampa Bay area Realtors evaluated the entries on site plan, curb appeal, design, materials, outdoor living spaces, architectural detailing and workmanship.  Grand and merit awards were given to homes in specific single-family and multifamily price ranges.

The winners are:

Single-family homes priced $115,000-$150,000: Grand Award – Pulte Homes, the Barclay at Trillium in Hernando County.  Merit Award – Florida Home Partnership, The Aspen at Hidden Creek in Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $220,000-$260,000: Grand Award – Greene Builders Inc., The Heron at Pointe Alexis in Pinellas County.  Merit Award – Lennar, the Monaco at Shady Creek in Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $265,000-$325,000: Grand Award – Ashton Woods Homes, the New Haven at Palm Cove in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Centex Homes, the Alafia at Magnolia Park in Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $360,000-$400,000: Grand Award – Avalon Building Corp. of Tampa Bay, Avalon IV at Forest Oaks in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Cardel Homes, The Kingfisher III at FishHawk Ranch in Hillsborough County. 

Single-family homes priced $440,000-$490,000: Grand Award – Southern Crafted Homes, the Oxford I in The Preserve at Quail Woods in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Avalon Building Corp. of Tampa Bay, the Antigua with Bonus Up at Watermark of Seven Oaks in Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $500,000-$550,000: Grand Award – Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Lyons-Heritage Pasco LLC, the Portofino III in The Hills at Lake Jovita in Pasco County.  Merit Award – Southern Crafted Homes, the Strathmore II at Grand Hampton in Pasco County. 

Single-family homes priced $560,000-$600,000: Grand Award – Schmidt Brothers Homes, The Grand Martinique at Bimini Bay in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Lyons-Heritage Tampa LLC, St. Vincent II at Connerton in Pasco County. 

Single-family homes priced $650,000-$700,000: Grand Award – Southern Crafted Homes, the Mandalay II at Stonegate in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Rottlund Homes, the Kensington III at Chautaqua Lake Estates in Pinellas County.

Single-family homes priced $800,000-$850,000: Grand Award – Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Custom Craft Homes, St. Augustine IV at Sora Trace at FishHawk Ranch in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Costanza Homes, Summerfield at Connerton in Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $940,000-$990,000: Grand Award – Bartlett Custom Homes, The Brookwood at Hawk Creek Reserve in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Lyons Pasco LLC, the Verandah at Southern Hills in Pasco County.

Single-family homes priced $1.1 million-$1.6 million: Grand Award – Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Custom Craft Homes, St. Augustine VI at Sunset Lakes in Pasco County.  Merit Award – Hannah-Bartoletta Homes, The Sinclair at FishHawk Ranch in Hillsborough County. 

Single-family homes priced $1.7 million-$2.2 million: Grand Award – Campagna Homes Inc., the Villa

Sorrento at the Champions’ Club in Pasco County.  Merit Award – Dykstra Construction Inc. in Hillsborough County.

Single-family homes priced $2.4 million-$2.9 million: Grand Award – Alvarez Homes, The Rosemary at Little Harbor in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Dolphin Homes Inc., La Pagoda in south Tampa.

Single-family homes priced $3 million-$4 million: Grand Award – Dolphin Homes Inc., the Casa Pamploma in south Tampa.  Merit Award – None.

Single-family homes priced $8 million +: Grand Award – Charles Building Corp., the Villa Adriana at Bellamere in Hillsborough County. Merit Award – None.

Multifamily homes priced $125,000-$175,000: Grand Award – Pulte Homes, the Bloomingdale Avenue at Ventura Bay in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – D.R. Horton, the Santa Barbara in Kinglet Ridge at FishHawk Ranch in Hillsborough County.

Multifamily homes priced $195,000-$245,000: Grand Award – Standard Pacific Homes, Doral at The Villas of Cambray at Panther Trace in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Deacon Wright, Athena at Callistor Cay in Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $270,000-$320,000: Grand Award– Southern Crafted Homes, the Brighton I at Devonwood in Hillsborough County.  Merit Award – Rottlund Homes, Barcelona II at Pelican Pointe in Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $390,000-$440,000: Grand Award – Rottlund Homes, the Abaco at Hidden  Bayou in Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $560,000-$610,000: Grand Award – JMC Communities, Suite 811 at the Sandpearl Residences in Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $660,000-$710,000: Grand Award – Water’s Edge One LLC, the Alexander at Water’s Edge in Pinellas County.

Multifamily homes priced $900,000+: Grand Award – JMC Communities, the D-808 at the Sandpearl Residences in Pinellas County. Merit Award – JMC Communities, Residence F-403 at the Sandpearl Residences in Pinellas County.
