NON-PROFIT HOMEBUILDER WINS PARADE OF HOMES AWARD
Florida Home Partnership Receives Merit Award for The Aspen at Hidden Creek
Ruskin—The Tampa Bay Builders Association recently awarded Florida Home Partnership a Merit Award for its new model home at Hidden Creek in Wimauma. It is the first non-profit homebuilder to win an award.
The Aspen, which offers three bedrooms and two baths within 1416 square feet, received the award as part of the TBBA’s 2009 Parade of Homes. A panel of area Realtors evaluated the entries on site plan, curb appeal, design, materials, outdoor living spaces, architectural detailing and workmanship. The Aspen is Florida Home Partnership’s first-ever model, and the first home in its portfolio to receive Energy Star certification.
“We’re just thrilled,” said Florida Home Partnership Executive Director Earl Pfieffer. “Our mission is to provide self-help housing for low- and moderate-income through a government program. Yet our design competed well with for-profit homebuilders for this award.”
The Aspen is located in the community of Hidden Creek in Wimauma, located on the Route 301 corridor. Hidden Creek is comprised of 141 homesites and will feature a walking path and community clubhouse. The model is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. |
