Nancy D. Griffin, Community Development Manager

Ms. Griffin has over 20 years experience in housing finance of which 17 years have been dedicated to affordable housing and community development. Joining FHP in 2009, Ms. Griffin develops community programs to enhance the communities FHP serves and integrates FHP into new communities and new markets with housing options. Ms. Griffin also cultivates new relationships with local, state and federal governments along with other community based organizations and businesses while exploring potential business partnerships within these new relationships as well as seeking funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations and other entities that can benefit from services offered by FHP.

Ms. Griffin came to FHP after utilizing her multifamily housing finance experience for six months as a consultant with Triad Research & Consulting, Inc. a full-service real estate market research firm. Prior to Triad, Ms. Griffin worked as a VP for Citi Community Capital, a division of Citi from 2005-2008 where she was a Multifamily Credit Underwriter, Relationship Manager & Banker in which she originated, underwrote, closed, and asset managed multifamily affordable housing developments that were financed with Housing Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds and various other local, state and federal programs.  Prior to CIti and from 2000-2005, Ms. Griffin was the Senior Credit Underwriter/Manager for AmeriNational Community Services, Inc., a servicer for the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, where Ms. Griffin prepared and reviewed credit underwriting reports for multifamily and single family loans financed with Housing Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds and other state and local affordable housing programs. From 1999-2000, Ms. Griffin was a Community Services Program Coordinator II for the Hillsborough County, Community Improvement Department where she administered the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP) and other affordable housing programs including HOME and CDBG. From 1997-1999, Ms. Griffin was the Compliance Manager and Underwriter for U.S.E. Community Services, Group (nka; AmeriNational) where she directed the compliance monitoring activities for 50 multifamily developments financed with FHFC’s programs. From 1992-1996, Ms. Griffin was a Redevelopment Counselor II for the City of Tampa’s Redevelopment Agency where she started in affordable housing finance. Ms. Griffin is also a State of Florida Real Estate Broker/Sales Person and is a licensed Series 7 & 63 professional.
