Joey Henderson

Mr. Henderson joined FHP in 2011 as the Community Development Manager. He worked for Consumer Credit Counseling Service (now CredAbility) for 13 years. Starting out as an Education Coordinator, he was a certified credit counselor and eventually promoted to the Director of Education and Marketing. He managed a team of educators and counselors who provided community education on credit, money management, homeownership and identity theft prevention.
Mr. Henderson became more acquainted with FHP when he managed the Credit Union Housing Partners from 2006 to 2009. While at CU Housing Partners he coordinated affordable housing activities and identified mortgage loan candidates for a coalition of credit unions. He also provided leadership in the organization’s business model and strategic plan development.
A graduate from Washington University in St. Louis (1985), Mr. Henderson has a Master of Science in Business Management from National Louis University, Tampa, FL (1996). Among several certifications, Mr. Henderson earned a Certificate of Completion in Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the Learning Institute for Nonprofit Organizations (1998), he is a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist through the Institute of Fraud Risk Management (2010) and was awarded a Certificate of Completion in Project Management from LaSalle Computer Learning Center, Tampa, FL (2011).
Some of his responsibilities for FHP include marketing the agency’s USDA Self-help homeownership program; providing outreach and liaison activities to the community, business and governmental contacts; provide leadership in programming development; assist with grant reporting and fund development.
