Florida Home Partnership is the largest builder of USDA Mutual Self-Help Housing, east of the Colorado River!
Florida Home Partnership, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c) 3 housing developer that provides affordable housing opportunities through the USDA Mutual Self-Help Housing Program. This program, also known as “sweat-equity housing,” allows first-time homebuyers to exchange 600 hours of unskilled and semi-skilled labor for a down payment on their home.  Founded in 1993, our organization, formerly known as Homes for Hillsborough, has helped hundreds of clients under 80% of the area median income build their own homes through the mutual self-help method.

Developing Sustainable Communities

Florida Home Partnership seeks to develop sustainable communities that have the appearance of market-rate housing. Our organization purchases raw land, and designs and develops communities that serve the needs of the client and the community at large. Homeowner associations are developed and managed by the company as well. Land is then resold to clients with no markup or overhead, resulting in instant equity to the buyer.

Expansion and Corporate Name Change

Florida Home Partnership, Inc. is expanding into the communities within 100 miles of our Ruskin headquarters. On July 1, 2005, the corporation changed its name from Homes for Hillsborough, Inc. to Florida Home Partnership, Inc. to more accurately reflect our geographical scope.
